Michael Gradone
Superintendent of Schools

Mr. Gradone, joined the Center after serving as Superintendent of the Nauset Schools for 17 years.  In that position, he reported to five School Committees, developing a keen appreciation of the characteristics of successful relationships between boards and their Chief Executives.  During his tenure, Nauset schools were awarded two national Blue Ribbons, and state-wide Compass and Vanguard awards.

Currently, Mr. Gradone consults for schools and nonprofits from his office in Chatham.  Prior to his superintendency, he was Nauset's Assitant Superintendent, and served as Principal of Wellfleet Elementary School for 12 years.  In addition to his professional responsibilities, Mr. Gradone is a founding Director of Arts Link, the Youth Arts Foundation; a Trustee of the Academy of Performing Arts; a Director of the Cape Cod Baseball League; and a member of the Area Board of the Cape & Islands Department of Children and Families.  His education background includes an A.B. from Harvard University and a M.Ed. from Westfield State College in Educational Leadership.
