Marsha A. McDonough

Ms. McDonough has been an educator and educational administrator for over thirty- five years. After teaching in Massachusetts public schools for 19 years, she began her administrative career serving in Connecticut and in Massachusetts as a Director, Principal, Superintendent, College Dean and Professor. After many years of distinguished service, she was hired by the United States Department of State as a Regional Educational Officer. Living in Washington, DC and traveling to schools worldwide, she initially served as REO for Mexico, Central America, Caribbean, Colombia, and later as REO for Eastern Europe.

In addition to carrying out her professional responsibilities, Ms. McDonough served the New England Association of Schools and Colleges for many years as an accreditation team chair, evaluator, committee member, and trustee and in 1995, as President. Previous volunteer leadership positions include: Chair, Merrimack Valley United Way; Chair, Merrimack Valley Superintendents’ Association; President, Greater Lawrence Educational Collaborative; elected School Committee Member, Northeast Regional School District; member, MA Common Core Learning Commission.

Currently residing on Cape Cod, Ms. McDonough continues to serve as an educational consultant to the State Department, International Schools, higher education institutions and local school districts.
